SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: No comparisons made this week due to 
limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 
310.00-320.00, 500-600 lbs 307.50-315.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1 400-500 lbs 295.00-336.00, 500-600 lbs 275.00-300.00. Feeder Heifers: 
Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 257.50-285.00, 500-600 lbs 252.50-276.00. 
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 117.00-134.00; Boners 80%-85% lean 
115.00-135.00; Lean 85-90% lean 105.00-126.00; Lean low dressing 50.00-
108.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1205-2105 lbs 139.00-156.00; 
High Dressing 1900 lbs 174.00; Low Dressing 1125-1685 lbs 115.00-132.00.  
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1 1295 lbs Young Aged Cow with calf 
under 300 lbs 1850.00 per pair. Medium and Large 2 815-820 lbs Young Aged 
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 1725.00-1925.00 per pair. Medium and Large 
2 870 lbs Young Aged Cow with Calf over 300 lbs 2350.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs price was 2.01 higher at 
69.10. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 54.69; 450-500 lbs 59.11; 500-550 lbs 
62.74.     
   SC Grain on Tuesday: Corn was mostly 2 to 4 cents higher, one location 
13 cents higher; elevator bids 4.07-5.03, processor bids 5.03-5.08. 
Soybeans were 6 cents higher; elevator bids 10.32-11.27, processor bid 
12.12, and export 12.27. Wheat was 3 to 15 cents higher; elevator bids 
5.45.
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.70 
lower at 78.47.
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
