SC Farm Report on Tuesday
Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: No feeder cattle comparisons made
this week due to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium and
Large 1 400-500 lbs 313.00-330.00, 500-600 lbs 300.00-310.00. Feeder
Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 300.00-315.00, 500-600 lbs 270.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 297.50, 500-600 lbs
240.00-255.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 124.00-138.00; Boners
80%-85% lean 119.00-139.00; Lean 85-90% lean 107.00-133.00; Lean low
dressing 90.00-119.00. Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 980-2205

Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs price was not compared at
67.31. Sows live price 300-450 lbs 57.77; 450-500 lbs 63.91; 500-550 lbs
65.10.
SC Grain on Tuesday: Corn was steady; elevator bids 3.86-4.91,
processor bids 4.91-4.96. Soybeans were 13 cents lower; elevator bids
10.10-11.18, processor bid 11.90, and export 11.95. New crop wheat was 1
to 3 cents lower; elevator bids 4.78-5.34.
Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.64
lower at 78.54.
