SC Farm Report on Monday
National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,495 lbs at 183.84, heifers 1,344 lbs at 183.19. Dressed
delivered steers 966 lbs at 293.09, heifers 865 lbs at 293.16. Weekly
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 300.27, dn
0.84 and Select 297.38, dn 0.31.
National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm. Compared to last week, early
weaned pigs were 2.00 lower and feeder pigs are 6.00 higher. Demand good
for moderate offerings. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 45.38; 40 lbs
cash basis 103.01.
Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not reported. Sows
live price 300-449 lbs 59.36, 450-499 lbs 63.88, and 500-549 lbs 65.35.
SC Grain on Monday: Corn was 4 cents lower; elevator bids 3.86-4.91,
processor bids 4.91-4.96. Soybeans bids were 16 cents lower; elevator
bids 10.23-11.18, processor bid 12.03 and export 12.08. New crop wheat
bids were 3 to 4 cents lower; elevator bids 4.79-5.37.
Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.31
higher at 80.18.
